At this point, it really shouldn’t surprise me that its difficult to find Rays swag in some places, but this is getting absolutely ridiculous.

I was at the Oviedo Marketplace Mall in, you guessed it, Oviedo last night. I sauntered into the Sports Fan Attic (Yeah, I’m calling them out) to see what kind of Rays stuff they had. I figured I’d at least be able to find a C.C. jersey or a t-shirt or SOMETHING. What did I find? A hat. A Rays hat. Among a sea of Yankees, Red Sox, Braves, and – yes – even Marlins jerseys, t-shirts, and other wearables, the only D-Rays item I could find was a hat.

Look, I know the Rays aren’t "teh hotnezzzz" right now. But, if I’m at a mall a mere hour and a half away from Tampa, it shouldn’t be easier to find stuff for a team that’s SIX HOURS away than it is to find stuff fo the "local" team. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!

Hopefully some good things will happen this year to reverse this trend.
